'Pashan Palvi' - Bloom On The Rock

It is the story of Dr. Raja and Renu Dandekar, who left behind brilliant careers in Pune to open a school to impart educational and vocational training to children in the rural areas surrounding Chikhalgaon, a remote and underdeveloped village in Maharashtra.

The students of this school have gone on to become independent in their chosen professions and help develop the region socially and economically.

Shooting on location at Chikhalgaon was an enlightening experience. We were humbled by the sincerity and hard work put in by the teachers and students of the school. Their hospitality floored us completely and we returned home… hopefully as better human beings.

Result: The film is being successfully used to create awareness about the school & its brilliant work and thus raise funds. The Infosys Foundation (Mrs. Sudha Murthy) recently pledged more than Rs.1 crore to fund the school’s expansion.
